About Hanamaki

Hanamaki City is located almost in the center of Iwate Prefecture, with a total area of 908.32 square kilometers. Located on the fertile Kitakami Plain with the Ou Mountains to the west and the Kitakami Plateau to the east, it is a city with beautiful natural scenery that changes with the seasons.
