Ghibli is coming to Oosawa Onsen in Hanamaki City, Iwate Prefecture again this year!

The old gallery "Chiyaya" of the Nanbu clan thatched Kikusui-kan is located on the grounds of Oosawa Onsen, a historic hot spring inn that was renovated and reopened two years ago.

Studio Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki came up with the idea of ​​a special exhibition to support his beloved Oosawa Onsen. Under the gigantic thatched roof of about 40 meters, landscape photographs of the Ghibli world as seen from the perspective of Thai photographer Kanyada will be exhibited.

Following on from last year's "Another Toshio Suzuki and Ghibli Exhibition 2," in addition to a special exhibition where you can enjoy landscape photographs and the world of the works, this year a new Ghibli mobile teahouse will be introduced!

If you are only visiting the Ghibli exhibition, please cross Takaaki Bridge and enter through the main entrance of Kikusui-kan.
Please note that the hot springs at Kikusuikan are not available for use.
If you are using the accommodation and hot spring facilities at Oosawa Onsen, please enter through the Oosawa Onsen Toujiyakan.
