HomeTsuchizawa Tanabata Star Festival
This is a traditional Tanabata festival that has been held since the Taisho era. The main venue is Tsuchizawa Shopping Street in Towa-cho, Hanamaki City, and the shopping street is filled with colorful streamers decorated on about 80 bamboo poles. Picture lanterns placed under the Tanabata decorations liven up the Tanabata festival at night.
