Wall-hanging Hanamaki Umbrella Making Experience

The Hanamaki umbrella is a traditional Japanese umbrella that has been passed down in Hanamaki for over 200 years. The only craftsman in Hanamaki who continues to preserve the tradition will give a gentle lecture on how to make a wall-hanging umbrella in his workshop.
As an option, you can also choose a wall umbrella unique to Hanamaki, made from Narushima washi paper that has been specially dyed by a local dye shop.
You can also paint it, so it makes a great souvenir or gift.
