Yabuya

Founded in 1923, this restaurant serves its famous "Wankosoba" (buckwheat noodles).

Hanamaki's wankosoba is served by a waiter, who stacks the bowls in front of you one by one. If you can get 100 bowls, you are recognized as a "yokozuna."
It is said that Miyazawa Kenji also liked to order "Tempura soba and cider" at this restaurant. When Miyazawa Kenji was a teacher, he called the restaurant "BUSH" and often brought his younger brother Seiroku and his students.
We serve not only soba noodles but also Japanese cuisine in general. Many local customers use our restaurant as a dining area and for various banquets.
