This is a two-day, one-night course to experience Hanamaki's culture and activities.
Day 1

Hanamaki Sports Land

Hanamaki Sports Land is a place where you can experience the outdoors on the Kitakami River.
You can enjoy rafting, canoeing, and boating in the summer, and snowmobiling in the winter.
Even beginners can feel at ease, as the instructors at Hanamaki Sports Land will carefully teach you how to operate the equipment and give you tips.

Sobe's Cafe

A cafe that serves dishes made with pesticide-free brown rice, Sobei rice, vegetables, beans, and seaweed. (Vegetarian and vegan options available)

Mori no Kuni Glass Experience Center

At the Mori no Kuni Glass Experience Studio, you can experience glass crafts such as glass blowing, glass beads, sandblasting, etc. Depending on the program, children as young as three years old can participate.

Wine Chateau Oohasama

This is a direct sales store of a winery that has won various awards at domestic and international wine competitions.
In addition to free tastings, there is also a paid tasting room where you can actually taste the drinks before purchasing.
In addition to wine, we also sell locally produced cheeses and sweets that go well with wine.
In the building next door, there is a video introducing the history and climate of the Oohasama region of Hanamaki City and the wine-making process, and you can also tour the wine bottling, fermentation, and barrel aging cellars.

Wall-hanging Hanamaki Umbrella Making Experience at Takita Kogei

The Hanamaki umbrella is a traditional Japanese umbrella that has been passed down in Hanamaki for over 200 years. The only craftsman in Hanamaki who continues to preserve the tradition will give a gentle lecture on how to make a wall-hanging umbrella in his workshop.
As an option, you can also choose a wall umbrella unique to Hanamaki, made from Narushima washi paper that has been specially dyed by a local dye shop.
You can also paint it, so it makes a great souvenir or gift.

A cafe that aims to be a peaceful place that will delight children and be fun for adults too.

Miyazawa Kenji Dowa Mura / Kenji’s School(Village of Fairy Tales) is a fun learning facility where you can enjoy learning in the world of Kenji's fairy tales, where characters like Giovanni, Matasaburo, and Yamaneko could appear at any moment.
The Fairy Tale Village consists of the Galaxy Station, Galaxy Station Square, Fairy Path, Sky Square, Wildflower Garden, and the main attraction, Kenji's School. Kenji's School is divided into five zones: Fantastic Hall, Space, Sky, Earth, and Water.
The log cabin exhibition facility "Kenji's Classroom" is also full of things to see.
★Every year from late July to late October, the limited-time light-up event "Fairy Tale Village Forest Light-up" is held.

Our main store, Kinkontei , is conveniently located almost in the center of Hanamaki city, a 10-minute drive from JR Shin-Hanamaki Station and a 5-minute drive from Iwate Hanamaki Airport .
Kinkontei stocks not only our own pickles, but also souvenirs from all over Iwate Prefecture. We also have a restaurant that can accommodate up to 700 people, making us a popular stopover point for tourists in Hanamaki.
As a way to enjoy tourism, courses that allow you to experience Iwate culture, such as making wankosoba and kinkonzuke pickles, are also popular.
