Day trip

A food and drink course to fully enjoy Hanamaki

This is a food tour that takes you around Hanamaki city's casual dining spots and breweries (sake, miso soy sauce, wine, cider). You can enjoy an exciting trip that will satisfy both your stomach and your heart while tasting a little bit of local delicacies.

Depart from Shin-Hanamaki Station

On foot Approximately 20 minutes

Kamegamori Brewery

A small winery located in Osakocho, Oohasama City. The brewery was established by two local apple and grape farmers.

They use apples and grapes that they grow themselves, and produce their products in as natural a way as possible, without adding sugar or acid, to bring out the flavor of the fruit itself. You can purchase special items of carefully crafted cider and wine that are only available here.
*Telephone reservation required

On foot Approximately 15 minutes

Wine Chateau Oohasama

This is a direct sales store of a winery that has won various awards at domestic and international wine competitions.
In addition to free tastings, there is also a paid tasting room where you can actually taste the drinks before purchasing.
In addition to wine, we also sell locally produced cheeses and sweets that go well with wine.
In the building next door, there is a video introducing the history and climate of the Oohasama region of Hanamaki City and the wine-making process, and you can also tour the wine bottling, fermentation, and barrel aging cellars.

On foot Approximately 10 minutes

Milk Factory Bon Dia

"Hayachine Drinking Yogurt", available at Milk Kobo Bon Dia, is a luxurious product made with freshly squeezed "raw milk" that is rich and full-bodied like fresh cream. From the ingredients to the manufacturing process, the product is made with great care to fully utilize the natural nutrients of milk. By blending raw milk from Brown Swiss cows, which originate from Switzerland, we have achieved a smooth taste that is an exquisite balance of subtle sweetness, moderate acidity, and richness.

The "Bon Deer Soft Serve" is also very popular, with its creamy texture made from 100% raw milk from Brown Swiss cows. The mellow "Wine Soft Serve" made with Edelwein wine is also recommended.

On foot Approximately 1 minute

Matsuba Shoten

A shop selling Towa specialties such as takoyaki, obanyaki, and dango.

The takoyaki dough is made from wheat, octopus, and cabbage from Iwate Prefecture. After being cooked until golden brown and fluffy, it is finished off with a generous coat of soy sauce from the local Sasanaga Brewery.

On foot Approximately 20 minutes

Lit work place

A self-renovated complex that brings excitement to Hanamaki.
On the first floor is a bagel and coffee stand where you can get your bagels stuffed with your favorite toppings, and on the second floor is a taproom where you can enjoy fresh, in-house brewed craft beer.
