Miyazawa Kenji Dowa Mura / Kenji’s School(Village of Fairy Tales)
Miyazawa Kenji Dowa Mura / Kenji’s School(Village of Fairy Tales) is a fun learning facility where you can enjoy learning in the world of Kenji's fairy tales, where characters like Giovanni, Matasaburo, and Yamaneko could appear at any moment.
The Fairy Tale Village consists of the Galaxy Station, Galaxy Station Square, Fairy Path, Sky Square, Wildflower Garden, and the main attraction, Kenji's School. Kenji's School is divided into five zones: Fantastic Hall, Space, Sky, Earth, and Water.
The log cabin exhibition facility "Kenji's Classroom" is also full of things to see.
★A limited-time illumination event called "Fairy Tale Village Forest Illumination" is held every year from late July to late October. → Click here for event information. *The 2025 event has already ended.

*Starting in April 2026, the museum will be closed every Monday (or the following weekday if Monday falls on a public holiday). Please note that during fiscal year 2026 (April 2026 to March 2027), the museum may be open on Closed Day. Please check the museum calendar (PDF) attached below.

- Kenji's School: Adults 350 yen, High school and college students 250 yen, Elementary and junior high school students 150 yen
There is also a combined admission ticket available for Miyazawa Kenji Dowa Mura / Kenji’s School(Village of Fairy Tales), Hanamaki City Museum, and Hanamaki Nitobe Memorial Museum.
