Kiyomizu Temple

It is said that the temple was founded in 807 when Sakanoue no Tamuramaro enshrined the eleven-headed Kannon statue that was said to have been effective in battle, and it is a famous Kiyomizu Temple that is known as one of the three great pure waters of Japan, along with Kiyomizu Temple dera Temple in Kyoto and Kiyomizu-dera Temple in Yashiro-cho, Hyogo Prefecture. During the two wars of the ninth year of the Zen ninen and the later three years, Minamoto no Yoriyoshi and Yoshiie are said to have built a seven-ken, four-sided temple sub-shrine in 1062. This is the first temple of the 33 Fudaraku temples of the Oshu region.
