Hanamaki City Comprehensive Cultural Property Center

This facility gathers all the buried cultural property materials in Hanamaki City in one place, permanently stores them, conducts research and sorting, and serves as a base for disseminating information and protecting the city's cultural properties. It is also a comprehensive facility that transfers the valuable materials from the Mountain Museum and also plays the role of an exhibition and storage facility.

The permanent exhibits are divided into four themes, covering Hayachine's nature, culture, history, and people, and are presented in an easy-to-understand manner using videos, models, photographs, and other materials.

There is also an exhibition of Jomon and Yayoi period ruins and excavated items as archaeological materials from Hanamaki.

You can also participate in hands-on learning related to cultural assets, such as making magatama and creating paper crafts of local performing arts.
