This waterfall is located near Hanamaki Onsen in western Hanamaki City. The sight of the clear stream splitting into multiple streams over a large rock 8.5 meters high and 30 meters wide before plunging into the waterfall basin is exhilarating. The forest surrounding Kamabuchi Falls has a walking trail that takes about 20 minutes to complete, making it a pleasant stroll through the dappled sunlight.

It also appears in Miyazawa Kenji 's work "Daigawa," and is one of the nationally designated scenic spots, " Ihatov Landscapes," which are locations featured in Miyazawa Kenji 's works.
